Installing Photoshop CS6 on Ubuntu 14.04

Installation requires PlayOnLinux, which is in the regular Ubuntu 14.04 repository. PlayOnLinux works by installing programs on its own virtual drive, allowing you to define what version of Wine you want to run under the program and whatever.

After installing PlayOnLinux, launch it and download the Photoshop CS6 installation .exe file in advance. I used already broken version. Therefore, after installation, it did not require a key.

1. Let's start PlayOnLinux. Click Install.

2. Choosing Photoshop CS6 step by step

3. A window will open, click Next.

4. In the window that appears, click "View" and select the pre-downloaded distribution of Photoshop CS6. Click Next.

5. The creation of a virtual area and the preparation of the shell for Photoshop begins. PlayOnLinux will ask you to confirm the installation of some packages.

6. After preparing the shell, PlayOnLinux will proceed to install Photoshop itself.

7. After installation, photoshop will be available in the list of programs for PlayOnLinux. After selecting it, click Launch.
